Adriana Levisky

Adriana LeviskyFounder of the office Levisky Arquitetos I Urban Strategy, in São Paulo, Adriana Levisky has been working on urban and institutional projects in the areas of health, culture and education. Among his most outstanding works are the Open Museum Crater of Colonia (Master Real Estate Award 2011), the Victor Civita Square – Open Museum of Sustainability (IAB 2008 Award), Senac São Miguel Paulista (awarded at the Americas Property Awards 2020-2021) and the Master Plan of Hospital Albert Einstein (Best Architecture Award 2011).

Anupama Kundoo

Anupama KundooThe Indian Anupama Kundoo is recognized for her research and experimentation of materials for an architecture with low environmental impact, suited to the socioeconomic context. He taught in Berlin, London, New York, Brisbane, Venice, Barcelona and currently in Madrid. Many of its buildings are in Auroville, the city where the architect moved to, after graduating from the University of Mumbai in 1989. In Auroville, he worked with modernist architect Roger Anger. In 2013, she received an honorable mention at the ArcVision International Award for Women in Architecture.

Edson Diniz

Edson DinizA resident of the Nova Holanda favela for 40 years – in Complexo da Maré, in Rio de Janeiro, Edson Diniz, historian and doctor in Brazilian Education, is director and founder of the NGO Redes da Maré, one of the most important social organizations in the community. He also created the Center for Memory and Identity of the Residents of Maré (NUMIM), where he published two books, and for two decades he was a professor in the public and private schools.

Renata Semin

Edson DinizRecently graduated, Renata Semin joined six colleagues to create the Piratininga Arquitetos Associados (PAA). Collectively, she has worked in social housing in São Paulo. Among his projects are the restoration and modernization of the Municipal Library Mário de Andrade, the Central Library and the Physiotherapy Clinic of the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas; and the project of 360 apartments for teachers on the campus of the Instituto de Tecnologia Aeronáutica. He also had the honor of developing remarkable works in partnership with the architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha since 1997.

Gilson Rodrigues

Gilson RodriguesGilson Rodrigues is the president of G10 Favelas, a social entrepreneur, consultant and community leader. Founder of Instituto Escola do Povo, an organization responsible for the literacy of more than 7 thousand young people and adults, and creator of sports and cultural projects, such as Craques do Amanhã, the Paraisópolis Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ballet of Paraisópolis. Recently, he heads the Committee of Favelas – Street Presidents, an initiative to combat the coronavirus pandemic in communities in Brazil.

Marcos Boldarini

Marcos BoldariniMarcos Boldarini, a professor at the Escola da Cidade, in São Paulo, has a series of works at the international biennials of architecture in Venice (2002, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2018), Rotterdam (2009 and 2012), Quito (2010), Buenos Aires (2013) and São Paulo (2011 and 2013), awarded in the last three. He is known for his work in social housing and slum urbanization – including the Cantinho do Céu and Jaguaré Complex, both in São Paulo.

Xie Xiaoying

Xie XiaoyingXie Xiaoying is one of the most influential Chinese architects in sustainable development, with projects focused on environmental preservation and, above all, using water. She represented China and directed Addis Ababa, the program to assist Ethiopia in urban and environmental recovery. Chosen among “the most influential women in architecture”, in 2018, by the Association of Women Architects of China.
